MG Windsor EV Unveiled Globally: A Luxury Electric Sedan with 800Km Range & Ultra-Premium Interiors

MG Windsor EV

MG Motor has taken a bold step into the luxury electric space with the unveiling of the MG Windsor EV, a sleek, all-electric flagship sedan designed to compete with the likes of the Tesla Model S, Hyundai Ioniq 6, and Mercedes EQE. Designed for global markets, the Windsor is expected to combine grand touring comfort, cutting-edge technology, and segment-leading range, with India likely to see this model as a halo offering in the future.

Elegant Design That Blends Aerodynamics and Class

The MG Windsor EV carries a low-slung, flowing silhouette inspired by fastback coupes. The front fascia features a clean closed grille, LED matrix headlamps, and sleek DRLs, while the sides boast frameless doors and flush-fitting handles. The rear gets a full-width LED light bar and sporty fastback-style tapering boot, enhancing its futuristic appeal. Designed with aerodynamic efficiency in mind, the Windsor rides on large aero-optimized alloys and has a drag coefficient that rivals the best in the segment.

800+ Km Range with Ultra-Fast Charging

Powering the MG Windsor EV is expected to be a large 100kWh+ battery pack, possibly using LFP or NMC chemistry, paired with a dual-motor AWD setup. MG claims a driving range of up to 800 km (CLTC) on a single charge. With 800V architecture, it will support ultra-fast charging, allowing up to 80% top-up in just 20 minutes. Acceleration from 0–100 km/h is likely under 4.5 seconds, making it not just efficient, but quick and dynamic to drive.

Luxury Interiors with Level-3 ADAS & Lounge-Like Comfort

The MG Windsor EV is all about luxury inside, featuring a panoramic floating curved display, AI-powered infotainment, and a premium sound system. The cabin is wrapped in sustainable vegan leather, real wood inserts, and ambient lighting. Rear seat comfort matches executive sedans, with recliner seats, massage functions, rear touchscreen controls, and 4-zone climate control. The Windsor will also feature Level-3 ADAS capability, including autonomous highway driving, auto parking, and predictive collision avoidance.

India Launch & Expected Price Range

While MG has not officially confirmed India-specific details, the Windsor EV is expected to debut in global markets like Europe and China by late 2025, followed by a CBU launch in India in 2026. The expected price in India could be around ₹65–₹75 lakh (ex-showroom). This would make it one of the most luxurious electric sedans in the country, positioned above the Hyundai Ioniq 5, BYD Seal, and close to the BMW i4.
